Where has this year gone? Only 11 days before Christmas. Seems as we get older, time goes faster. This time of the year is very special to me. I love watching my two daughters get so excited anticipating Santa’s arrival. Each year, just after Thanksgiving, Santa send two helper elves (Elf on the Shelf) to our house to report back to him on how well our girls are behaving. Each night, they leave and come back in the morning to a new spot in the house. Every morning the girls get up excited to find where their “elf” is sitting when he returned from reporting to Santa at the North Pole. Having the elves around really helps to get them up and moving to get ready for school. Someone needs to invent an “Elf on the Shelf” for the rest of the year!

I love this time of year. Watching the leaves change colors, taking my kids to pick out mums and pumpkins, which of course, they have to try and pick up every single pumpkin in the patch. If they had their way, my whole front yard would be filled with the pumpkins. They would have to carve one every single night. But the one thing I really enjoy is decorating my house for fall and Christmas. If you enjoy doing this, you can’t miss our warehouse sale. It’s funny how we all dream of the warm sunshine of summer, as we huddle around a crackling fire in mid-January. And then, before we know it the warm weather of summer has come and gone.
The late change of season is a time that I love here in Ohio. The milder temperatures leading toward the beautiful color changes of the trees, as the fall holidays are approaching. (more…)

Last month my husband and I surprised our two girls, Kassidy-4 and Kylie-5, with a trip to Disneyland!
It had been a secret we had been holding since December. They knew we were going on vacation, but had no idea where until we arrived at the airport. That’s when we told them we were going to Disneyland.
Kylie just stood there staring at us and Kassidy repeatedly said “no way,” and was in denial.
The looks on their faces were priceless. It wasn’t the made for TV expression we were hoping for but it was still funny to watch them.

This time of year is always crazy for me.
Now that we are coming to the end of the winter trade shows, it’s time to get the orders placed with the factories. I’ve been placing orders for all the Halloween, Fall and Christmas items. I’ve also been working with the factories to get the orders scheduled for shipment so we have all the items here on time to fill our customers’ orders. (more…)

The late change of season is a time that I love here in Ohio. The milder temperatures leading toward the beautiful color changes of the trees, as the fall holidays are approaching.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. With my two young daughters, it’s fun to see their excitement as they try to decide if they want to be the good princess or the wicked witch for trick-or-treating this year. My kids challenge me each year to figure out how we are going to get the biggest pumpkin from the patch home in one piece.
